Quick answer: A misting fan on a stand is an outdoor tool. It shines on a covered patio, in an open garage or on a job site in dry heat, where evaporating water pulls real warmth out of the breeze instead of just stirring it around. Choose a tank-fed stand if you need to wheel cooling to wherever people are sitting, and choose a hose-fed setup if it will live near a spigot and you never want to refill anything. Check that the mist can be switched off independently of the airflow, so you still have a usable fan on a muggy day.

How the options here were compared
Compare these on the same short list: how water reaches the nozzles, how the stand adjusts, how far the air throws, and what winter storage involves. Nothing on this page rests on anything beyond published specifications and live listing data. Verify each figure against the current listing before ordering — nozzle counts, cord lengths and tank volumes get revised between production runs without the name changing. Check the review tab yourself for the complaints that would actually ruin it for you: clogging, wobble on soft ground, and drift landing where you didn't want it. Prices and stock move constantly, so read those off the listing rather than any guide.

What actually matters with a misting fan on a stand
Compare how evaporative cooling has a hard ceiling, and the weather sets it, not the hardware. Dry heat is where this approach everyday close to magic; in saturated coastal air the droplets never fully evaporate and you end up damp rather than cool. Check the typical summer dew point where you live before you commit to the idea at all.
Confirm the base footprint suits the height you'll actually use, because a tall stand catching a gust is a real tipping hazard.
